The rest of 2009

I haven't ironed (eye-runned) since that day in September, but I did go to Vegas and see Phantom with some friends. What an amazing show. Go. See. It.

We took a short little walk up Bridal Veil Falls. The kids had lots of fun. We need to get out more.

Morgan's first day of her second year of Preschool. She loves her new teacher and friends in her class.

Cheap entertainment!

We bought a Kirby (best thing ever) and it is fun for the whole family! Not just Daddy who used to do all the vacuuming.

Morgan's 5th birthday. We wish we had video of this reaction to Snow White on DVD. She still loves the Disney princesses.

Jason turned 35 this year. Talk about an early mid-life crisis. Glad his choice to deal with it is to get his body active again. But this did include a very large purchase that "almost cost him his marriage." (His words, not mine.)

My crazy Australian friend invited us to her family's Halloween party. I wasn't expecting myself to get this into it, but once I started it was too much fun to stop.

Talmage was earning beans in a cup by being a big boy and using his words. After he got 30 beans he got these Spiderman jammies that he thanks Heavenly Father for in all his prayers. Too bad he forgets to be a big boy and use his words ALL THE TIME still!

My sweet and crazy 5 year old.

It was a beautiful day in late October so I took some pics of the boys. Landon is full of funny faces and Tal doesn't disappoint, either. But then...

...I think it was 5 days later we got a good amount of snow. Enough to make a snow man that the kids enjoying destroying more than making it!

Then came Halloween. I had hurt my back so I didn't get to go out with the kids. But I got to see all the neighborhood kids that came to my door.

Jason's brother, Steve, was kind enough to snap this unplanned family photo of us on Thanksgiving. Quite impressive for not planned, huh?

Our baby turned 2! I still can't believe it! He is such a character and recently had me laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face!

Decorating the tree

First day of the 12 days of Christmas. Landon is thrilled.

Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert with Natalie Cole (and here back up singers the MOTAB.)

Rebecca, the crazy Australian, invited us with her crazy Australian family to the Christmas Carol sing along in SLC. On the way there we stopped for Wendy's and Talmage spilled his water in his booster seat. I didn't realize how wet his bum was until we were sitting and singing carols. I took his pants off and tried to find a hand drier to dry his pants so he wouldn't literally freeze when we went to see the lights at Temple Square, but the arena doesn't have any hand driers. So, we borrowed Rebecca's sister's sweater and I fashioned these festive pants with the help of the caution tape. Talmage was surprisingly a good sport about it all and we were still able to see the lights at Temple Square!

This was one of the funniest Nativity stories you ever did see. Check out Morgan and her cousin Sammy. They are angels. Can't you tell?

Christmas Eve at the Holts.

Christmas Morning at our house. My family comes down early enough to see the kids when they wake up to find what Santa brought. I like this tradition. We sleep in our own beds, Santa is able to come to our house down our chimney and my family gets to have some Christmas joy watching children get presents!

So there you have it. No more complaining. I have updated my blog and I hope to do it more often. If there are interesting things that happen in our life, maybe I'll tell you about them, but if not, I'll just post pics of the cute kids!

Fantastic pictures! My favorite might be that one of Landon staring at his two birthday candles, so sweet.
