Chubster is Uno!
What baby contest do I enter this boy into? This photo is priceless Landon.
He just started clapping on Thanksgiving and boy is he proud. So are we, I guess. We aren't constantly making him do it. (Gag)
I don't know why I was having such a hard time coming to the realization that Landon would turn one some day. Maybe because he was born a month early and has been a month behind on most things compared to Morgan & Talmage. He just doesn't seem old enough to be one. Or maybe, as my friend Erin pointed out, it is because I am not pregnant with the next one. Which I wouldn't mind another child except for that detail of having to BE pregnant for a few months. But when I was already prenant with the next child for both of my other two kids' first birthday's, people would say, "[They] are already one?" I'd reply, "[they'd] better be because I am already 3 months pregnant with the next!" I truly don't know why this has been so hard for me. I never shed a tear over the fact that Landon did turn one, contrary to my mother's belief, but I was sincerely sad that he is indeed getting older. I've asked him on many occassions of cuteness in the past few months to freeze and not get any older, but he never conceded to that request. I just never want that beautiful smile to go away. He really does, "smile from his toes" as someone once said. And he will smile for anyone (so don't feel too special if he does it for you!) And I especially don't want the baby chub to melt away. I think he looks a lot like some of my baby photos. I'll have to scan the fattest one and share it with you all.
Burnetts, this is for you!
Sandi (my mother-in-law), Morgan, Talmage, Landon & I drove to Eugene, Oregon to visit Jackie, Jason's youngest sister, and her family in the middle of November. And even though Landon didn't enjoy the 14+ hour drive there, we all had a great time. I love Jackie and her family. I just wish being in "driving distance" meant that they were still just a little closer. But even though the drive wasn't in the least bit fun, it was still worth it and I wish I stayed longer.

Morgan and Sammy are the best of friends.
Twinners thanks to Grandma Holt!
All it takes is some space for these cousins to run and they have a blast together.
The last time these two boys were together, Grandpa Holt was so sick of Ryan "putting his fingers down Landon's throat" that he put mittens on Ryan's hands and then duct taped them to his jammies. Despite what it looks like in this photo, Ryan was extremely sweet to Landon on during this trip. You can tell Landon isn't bothered by the wrestling. He can hold his own.
Talmage's classic cheese ball face. He loves to run with this look on his face and we finally got a great photo of it.
My children being such early risers and on Utah time, plus us adults staying up late to scrapbook and talk caused some tiredness in the mornings. Jack & Rich, I hope you didn't suffer too much from the lack of sleep with us at your house, because I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It's just that drive...
